Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Dēto mobile application ("App") provided by Deto LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Account Registration

You are required to create an account to use the App. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update your account information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Post, upload, or transmit sexually explicit or NSFW content in photos, videos, or messages
• Engage in harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
• Post content depicting or promoting violence
• Impersonate another individual
• Send spam, scams, or commercial solicitation through the App
• Post content involving minors in any inappropriate context
• Solicit money or promote external services through the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
• Use automated means to access the App without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the App

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Deto LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display through the App ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating the App.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to remove, disable, or restrict access to any User Content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or our Community Guidelines, without prior notice.

7. Video & Audio Content

The App allows you to create and share video introductions, video messages, voice messages, and participate in live video calls. All video and audio content is subject to our content moderation policies.

Video and audio content is subject to automated content moderation screening before becoming visible to other users. Content flagged by our automated systems may be temporarily retained for review.

8. Content Moderation

We use a combination of automated systems and human review to moderate content on the App. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without prior notice.

Automated screening may delay the availability of uploaded photos and videos while they are reviewed for guideline compliance.

9. Account Suspension & Appeals

Multiple reports from other users or automated content flags may result in temporary suspension of your account. Suspended users will be notified and may appeal by contacting appeals@deto.app.

Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days. Possible outcomes include reinstatement of your account or upholding the suspension.

Severe violations — including illegal content, credible threats, or exploitation — may result in permanent ban without the opportunity to appeal.

10. Subscriptions & Payments

The App offers an optional premium subscription that provides access to additional features. Subscriptions are processed and managed entirely by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play). Deto does not collect or store your payment information.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. Deto does not issue refunds for unused subscription periods.

Deleting your Dēto account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You must cancel your subscription through your device's platform settings before deleting your account to avoid continued billing.

11. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DETO LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Deto LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Accounts may be suspended for multiple reports from other users, content policy violations, or failed automated content checks. Suspended accounts may appeal via appeals@deto.app.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also notify you through the App and may require you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the App. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
