Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your account and data.

Important

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted.

If you have an active premium subscription, cancel it through your device's subscription settings (Apple App Store or Google Play) before deleting your account. Account deletion does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Apple or Google.

How to Delete Your Account

Delete from the App

The easiest way to delete your account is directly from the Dēto app:

  1. Open the Dēto app
  2. Go to your Profile tab
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm your decision

Request via Email

If you can't access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to support@deto.app
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your account
  4. We will process your request within 30 days

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently deleted:

  • Your profile (name, bio, preferences, and location)
  • Your avatar and intro (video or voice)
  • All conversations, text messages, and shared images
  • All connections and emoji reactions

Deletion Timeline

Deletion is immediate and permanent. Once confirmed, your account is deactivated, you are logged out, and all your data is deleted.
