Community Guidelines

Dēto is built for authentic human connection. These guidelines keep the community safe, respectful, and welcoming for everyone. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

1. Be Authentic

• Use your real identity — no impersonation or fake profiles
• Your photos and videos must be of you — no stock images, celebrity photos, or AI-generated faces
• Do not misrepresent your age, location, or other profile details

2. Respect Others

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, or intimidation
• Respect people's boundaries — if someone isn't interested, move on
• Do not share another person's private information without consent
• Treat all users with dignity regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability

3. Keep Content Safe

• No nudity, sexually explicit content, or NSFW material in photos, videos, or messages
• No violent, graphic, gory, or disturbing imagery or language
• No content involving minors in any inappropriate context
• No promotion of self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous activities
• No depiction or promotion of illegal drugs or controlled substances
• No promotion of terrorism, human trafficking, or any other illegal activity

4. No Spam or Scams

• Do not send unsolicited commercial messages or advertisements
• Do not solicit money, gifts, or financial information from other users
• Do not promote external services, websites, or apps
• Do not use the App for phishing, fraud, or any deceptive activity

5. Video & Voice Calls

• All content rules apply during video and voice interactions
• Do not record, screenshot, or redistribute calls without the other person's consent
• Abusive behavior during calls (threats, harassment, indecent exposure) will be treated the same as written or uploaded content violations

6. Content Moderation

We use automated systems and human review to enforce these guidelines. Uploaded photos and videos are screened before they become visible to other users.

Content that violates these guidelines may be removed without notice. Repeated or severe violations result in account suspension or permanent ban.

7. Reporting

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it using the in-app reporting feature. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

You will not be penalized for making good-faith reports. However, filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of these guidelines.

8. Suspension & Appeals

If your account is suspended, you will be notified with the reason. You may appeal by emailing appeals@deto.app.

Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days.

Severe violations — including illegal content, credible threats, or exploitation — may result in permanent ban without the opportunity to appeal.

9. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these guidelines at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
